  1. SOFTWARE LICENSE

  3.  Non-licensed users are granted a limited license to use 
  4.  J-Works 4.0 on a 30-day trial basis for the purpose of determining
  5.  whether J-Works 4.0 is suitable for their needs.  The use of 
  6.  J-Works 4.0, except for the initial 30-day trial, requires registration.  
  7.  The use of unlicensed copies of J-Works 4.0, outside of the initial 
  8.  30-day trial, by any person, business, corporation, government 
  9.  agency or any other entity is strictly prohibited.
  10.  
  11.  A single user license permits a user to use J-Works 4.0
  12.  only on a single computer.  Licensed users may use the
  13.  program on different computers, as long as there is NO
  14.  POSSIBILITY of it being used at one location while it is
  15.  being used at another, or on a computer network by more than
  16.  one user at a time.

  18.  No one may modify or patch the J-Works 4.0 executable or related 
  19.  program files in any way, including but not limited to decompiling,
  20.  disassembling, or otherwise reverse engineering the program.

  22.  A limited license is granted to copy and distribute J-Works 4.0
  23.  only for the trial use of others, subject to the above
  24.  limitations, and also the following:
  25.  
  26.   1)   J-Works 4.0 and all of its release files must be copied
  27.         in unmodified form, complete with the file containing
  28.         this license information.
  29.  
  30.   2)   No fee, charge, or other compensation may be requested or
  31.         accepted, except as authorized below:
  32.  
  33.       A) Operators of electronic bulletin board systems (sysops)
  34.            may make J-Works 4.0 available for downloading only as
  35.            long as the above conditions are met.  An overall or
  36.            time-dependent charge for the use of the bulletin board
  37.            system is permitted as long as there is not a specific
  38.            charge for the download of J-Works 4.0.

  40.        B) Vendors of user-supported or shareware software approved by
  41.            the ASP may distribute J-Works 4.0, subject to the
  42.            above conditions, without specific permission.  Non-
  43.            approved vendors may distribute J-Works 4.0 only after
  44.            obtaining written permission from MicroWorks, Inc.
  45.            Such permission is usually granted.  Please write for
  46.            details (enclose your catalog).

  48.       C) Non-profit user groups may distribute copies of the
  49.            J-Works 4.0 diskette to their members, subject to
  50.            the above conditions, without specific permission.
  51.            Non-profit groups may collect a disk duplication fee
  52.            not to exceed five dollars.

  54.   LIMITED WARRANTY
  55.  
  56.   MicroWorks, Inc. warrants that all disks provided are
  57.   free from defects in material and workmanship, assuming
  58.   normal use, for a period of 90 days from the date of
  59.   purchase.

  61.   MicroWorks, Inc. warrants that the program will perform
  62.   in substantial compliance with the documentation supplied
  63.   with the software product.  If a significant defect in
  64.   the product is found, the Purchaser may return the
  65.   product for a refund.  In no event will such a refund
  66.   exceed the purchase price of the product.

  68.   EXCEPT AS PROVIDED ABOVE, MICROWORKS, INC. DISCLAIMS ALL
  69.   WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT
  70.   LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND
  71.   FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WITH RESPECT TO THE
  72.   PRODUCT.  SHOULD THE PROGRAM PROVE DEFECTIVE, THE
  73.   PURCHASER ASSUMES THE RISK OF PAYING THE ENTIRE COST OF
  74.   ALL NECESSARY SERVICING, REPAIR, OR CORRECTION AND ANY
  75.   INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.  IN NO EVENT WILL
  76.   MICROWORKS, INC. BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER
  77.   (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF
  78.   BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS
  79.   INFORMATION AND THE LIKE) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR THE
  80.   INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT EVEN IF MICROWORKS, INC.
  81.   HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

  83.   Use of this product for any period of time constitutes
  84.   your acceptance of this agreement and subjects you to its
  85.   contents.

  87.   U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS
  88.  
  89.   Use, duplication, or disclosure by the Government is subject
  90.   to restrictions as set forth in subdivision (b)(3)(ii) of
  91.   the Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software clause at
